Getting into mixing at age 16, DJ Riddle first got into English Rave/ Breakbeat and then started buying Jungle in 1992. Nine years later he is a very well established Auckland Drum n Bass DJ. Before moving to Auckland in 1993, Riddle had played many early Raves in Christchurch and has since DJed at pretty much every major Drum & Bass gig in Auckland including the early "Drum and Basswise" and "Jungle Soundclash" gigs and The Breaks (Where he was a resident for the entire 3 years). Riddle also has the esteem of having played support for every International Drum & Bass dj that has toured New Zealand. He has played regular local gigs for many different promoters, major album release parties and played at the millenium Gathering and the Big Day Out 2001.
He names promoters Subtronix, record label Kog Transmissions and radio stations 95bfm and George FM (where he has run a DnB show since 1999) as organisations he feels have been influential in the development of the local dance scene.
Some career highlights for DJ Riddle have been having Warren G stay on the mic for his entire set after DJ SS in 1998 at legendary club The Box, and having the honour of playing sets before Grooverider for all of his visits to New Zealand.
