Simon Swain is most popularily known as LRS, but also performs as Funpoison, and is the owner and maintainer of the obscure.co.nz site, one of the countries top bulletin boards on electronic music.
Simon started playing hardcore guitar, before experimenting with drum machines and going to dance gigs.
He found the sound more interesting than guitar based music, and set about learning how to create electronic music.
Simon began organising parties, the Biosphere series, Psionic series, Psurkit series, The Visit, Fun Poison series and others. He has released a couple of CDs, "Skankatronics", "Pure Wellingtronika" and his own under the psydonyn LRS - "Syntax"
He believes that the isolation of New Zealand keeps electronic music unique.
