Started by multi media artist and producer Mike Weston , Pulse records have released two
albums in the techno genre distributed through Tri-star Music, making their recordings
available throughout stores in New Zealand. During a very productive period between 1994 and
1997 Pulse operated a studio in the rear of Cyberculture on Aucklands K'Rd , combining a
gallery and record store environment promoting local and international artists in a variety of
media.
Pulse's output during this time included a volume of commercial and advertising work.Breaking
new ground with sponsorships financed the considerable dance event activity up until mid 1997
bringing a run of the worlds leading techno artists to NZ for their first visits.
"Harmonic 695" - Compilation.

"Harmonic 695" takes its title from a book Bruce Cathie & Peter Temm. The compilation features producers, Micheal Lawry, Mechanism, and ICU among many others.

"Morningstar" - Mechanism.

Mechanism is the talented Denver McCarthey, who has also recorded under the name of Micronism. Morningstar is a landmark techno experimental album in the history of Dance Music in New Zealand, and features tracks highly revered by fellow producers.
