Lightspeed was conceived three years ago in the spare room of an infamous apartment in metropolitan Auckland. A small company of friends with a view to producing quality events that would satisfy New Zealand's fast developing club culture.
Significant Lightspeed artists have included Derrick May, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Coldcut, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia, Stacey Pullen, Chez Damier, Matthew Herbert, Gilles Peterson, Ian Pooley, Erik Rug, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina and Doc Martin, to name but a few.
Respect is also due to our very own New Zealand artists, including below who have, on occasions, outshone the brightest international stars.
Currently operating from a cupboard in Kingsland, Lightspeed continues to move in new and exciting directions.
