Subtronix Event History

Formed in 1996, Subtronix are now New Zealand's premier Drum n Bass Promoters. They are also one of the hardest working and dedicated groups of people in the industry. Currently owned by Dave Roper, and Geoff Wright (DJ Presha), Subtronix events also feature regular performers DJ's Riddle, Aaron, 48 Sonic, Motion, as part of the live element.

Subtronix are responsible for not only fostering local DJ/Producer talent, and running Subtronix distribution, but also bringing in some of the worlds hottest Drum n Bass names, and thus establishing New Zealand, second to the UK for crowd enthusiasm. They have earn't huge respect from D'n'B luminaries like Goldie and DJ Trace, and have toured since Ed Rush, Grooverider, Doc Scott, Kemistry and Storm, Dom and Roland, MC Warren G, Andy C, and Optical to name a few.

STORM & MC FLUX - Auckland & Christchuch, December 1999.

Storm

Following the tragic death of DJ partner Kemistry, Storm had decided that continuing the task of spreading the unique Kemistry and Storm vibe and vision of Drum and Bass is what her soul mate would have wanted. New Zealand was pencilled in for a tour from Kemistry and Storm late 99, and as soon as Subtronix learned of Storm's return to the 1200's a re-confirmation of this date, solo style, was rapidly set into place.

Enhancing the Storm vision, MC Flux, a true veteran of the Drum and Bass scene, pushed the night to another level.

The tour was dedicated to Kemistry, an angel taken too soon.
