The following is a slice of Matt O'Brien & DJ Pylons TKO. Started by Christchurch where they were based at the time, Pylon is still based there, while Matt O'Brien is based in Auckland, and is operating Uplifting Alliance.
Their first major party was Ultrasonic in 1995 at the Westend theatre. Along with Matt's Cyborg Productions, a series of classic gigs began before Matt departed for Japan, Inferno's 1, 2 and 3, Ultrasonic1 & 2, The Safety Rave, 6 Million Dollar Rave, the Summer Series and More.

Held near the Sign of the Kiwi at the top of Christchurch's port hills, Open air rave Liquid Skyy featured Freddie Fresh from the USA, and Mechanism (ex-pat Denver McCarthey) from Australia. Alos in support, DJ's Stealth, Kinesis, reuben-b, Feild (Auckland), Sammah, OB1, Flux, and Laraken.

ICU
Held Saturday 25th November 1995, This gig featured direct from the UK, New Zealand's Own ICU, utilising an array of audio and visual technology, along with Mechanism.
Featuring support by Crybaby, Slipmatt (ob1), Stealth, and Kinesis. |

The Quickening
Held in celebration of the end of a successfull Ch-Ch raving season, The Quickening was a special event with hidden where abouts, and held in a meadow in the port hills of Christchurch.
This rave held on the 15 December 1995, featured Drum n Bass from Riddle, and Trance from Pylon, OB1, Crybaby, Solid State, Reuben 8, Stealth, Lush and Shaft. Live act Theshold of Silence also played. |

Six Million Dollar Rave.

The Six Million Dollar Rave was OB1's going away party celebration. Matt went to Japan, and in support of good travelling was Mechanism, Whinge, Field, Pylon, Stealth, Solid State, Nytram, and Kinesis. OB1 played the best of the past years.
